Los Chapos Tacos started in 2020 with one food truck, a dream, and something to prove. No restaurant group. No big investors. No shortcuts. Just long days, late nights, and a belief that if the food was unforgettable, people would come back.
And they did.
What started on four wheels has grown into four brick-and-mortar locations across Tampa Bay and our own commissary production center built from the ground up, one taco and one customer at a time.
But growth hasn’t changed what got us here. Fresh-pressed tortillas, slow-cooked birria, marinated al pastor, fresh guacamole, house-made salsas, and bold flavors that keep you thinking about the next bite.
We know where we came from. We know what got us here. And we’re just getting started.

I went twice in one week. This is hands down the best taco place in Ybor. I highly recommend the Al pastor taco with the grilled pineapple and get the dip trio. I fumbled the bag the first time I went because I only wanted salsa at first then ended up going back to order more. All 3 of their dips were so good I could cry.
